I like many co workers hacked like we had TB. the medic would give you something for it to break up the mucus and off you go if you complain to much they will send you for a medical and next stop would be home and you only get 90 day’s to get back once you clear medical .If you go past 90 day’s they get rid of your ass .How does one avoid the Bagram Hack it’s their all day and night and we all march on for the sake of our family’s at home. at least we can complain or quit but the poor GI is stuck.

Nurses or medics usually have it as good as upper mgt. They must be in a fairly clean enviroment and be available for emergencies. They usually have a b-hut or part of a building all to themselves.

Thats not entirely a true statement. Dynacorp likes to say the army is to blame yet they have the contractual responsibility to provide a certain amount of living space for its employees. However per requirements the living space at min should be 50 sq ft. It also depends on where you end up living as to the overall conditions etc. some FOBs are just nicer than others. I cant offer any feedback as far as the overall conditions for women or the medical field.

Spouse just returned. Lived in tent. 7 x7 ft. no walls in tent. Only can hang cotton sheets or blankets for privacy. Army rules. Worst when first get there until get permanent assignment. Pay is good, but save for taxes in case have to come home.

Considering nursing job with Dyncorp. Anyone have any heads ups on conditions for women in medicine over there? My spouse worked for DI and reported he lived in tent and was squeezed down to 7 x 7 ft. Army was culprit, not Dyncorp. He doesn’t think I’d have that problem, ie. female employee in medical field. Spouse pay was good and always paid on time.

The dismissal only pertains to a subsidiary. Charges are still pending against the parent company, Public Warehousing Company K.S.C. The parent and dozens of subs are also still listed in the EPLS as indefinitely suspended from federal contracting.

I will be leaving for LOGCAP IV in July from the States and would like to hear more opinions and facts on conditions. Those given above are one extreme or the other and it is hard to know exactly what to expect. I know that it is no rose garden but the opinions seems quite one extreme vs. the other.

While the Army was mistreating detainees and POWs and hiding behind the skirts of these DoD Contractors to conceal their behavior at the instructions of Rummy, Bush Jr. and Cheney, the U.S. collectively had the duty and responsiblity to uphold every aspect of the Geneva Conventions for the treatment of POWs.

The U.S. was the controlling power on the ground and according to the State Department’s Rule of Law office – the Army were violating the Geneva Conventions in many aspects under General Casey. Now it is down to what is the Law of Armed Conflicted and the treatment of POWs and Detainees.

As I told a JAG in Camp Pheonix who had a hissy fit – the U.S. was the controlling power of the country and, according to the State Department Rule of Law attorney, had the duty and responsiblity to enforce the terms of the Geneva Conventions upon the Iraqi assistants, the MITs Teams, and the DoD Contractors.
THE ARMY FAILED IN THEIR DUTIES ONCE AGAIN AND HAVE COVERED UP FOR CRIMES – ……………… ONCE AGAIN.
