We want our $60 billion back!

After four years of fighting the good fight and spending countless hours at my computer documenting the rampant Fraud, Waste and Abuse of U.S. tax dollars in the hands of DoD contractors, I have submitted a petition on We the People.

We the People was set up by President Obama to take action on important issues facing our country.  I think lying and stealing from the taxpayer is an important issue.  Harming our troops in the name of profit is an important issue. I believe violating the FAR/DFAR is an important issue.  I think the powers that be, need to get off their collective asses and hold someone accountable.

If you agree with the contents of the petition, I ask that you please sign it. I believe MsSparky.com readers are as fed up and disgusted with this as I am.  If the petition meets the signature threshold of 25,000 signatures in 30 days,  it will be reviewed by the Administration and an official response will be issued.  Here is the link (Click HERE).

If you are not already registered with We The People, there is a VERY short registration required before you can sign or generate petitions. While you are there, please peruse the list of other petitions and sign those that are important to you and if you have an issue, by all means generate a petition. My petition is below:

We petition the Obama Administration to:

Enforce the law by prosecuting the corporations & criminals who have stolen $60 billion from the U.S. taxpayer

The Commission on Wartime Contracting estimates waste and fraud have amounted to as much as $60B during operations in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Defense contractors have subjected US military personnel to substandard services, shoddy work and chemical exposure resulting in permanent injury and death.

While the Pentagon may deem egregious behavior as satisfactory and indemnify this negligence as a cost of doing business, we the people do not. We call upon our government to hold accountable the corporate entities and individuals responsible for the heinous acts committed against the citizens of the United States and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.

War profiteering has never been so profitable for the wrongdoer and so dangerous for our troops and the taxpayer. (SIGN HERE)

We want out $60 Billion back! And if someone ended up going to jail for it, that would be nice too!

REALLY? Give it up…you’ve been outta the loop to long….most of your information is inaccurate, and the open sources that you do use clearly have the prosecution in hand….so I would say that the DOJ is working the case…it has been 11 years since all this started…so maybe we should wait another 11 to UN F**K the wrongs that were commited. besides…the contractor is only doing what the gov’t requires….so point the finger at the GOA…

    • Comment by Ms Sparky:

There’s a lot of finger pointing to go around. The DoD has a huge hand in all this. I don’t have a problem with contracting out this work, I just want what I pay for. And this $60B figure is from the Commission on Wartime’s reports. It’s not just KBR, Fluor and Dyncorp…..it’s everyone.

  2. Comment by ACC Watch:

CAMP ARIFJAN and fraud are connected at the hip. FAR violations have been going on since DOHA days and now they just change faces. The good guys are up against greed and ineffective DOJ and ARMY CID who are tipping off DoD Contractors paying bribes and giving kickbacks. Foriegn contractors are not going to jail and only risk debarrment.

LUCKILY – when a MILITARY CONTRACTING OFFICER does go to jail – the system is stripping him or her of their retirement income. That is still not a deterrant.

The PARCs are facilitators of corruption and are not the ones to comply with the Competition in Contracting Act. Rock Island’s Jake Adrian is concealing awards to KGL from CONGRESS by changing the title of Heavy Lift VII and awarding to cleaning companies $ 170 Million vehicle lease contracts. BAZ3000. JAKE ADRIAN is giving $ 10 + Million single sole source Ambulance contracts to American General Trading – without competition.

General Dynamics Information Systems is awarded a Maintenance Handling Equipment repair contract worth over $ 15 Million and the Solicitation was never competed on FEDBIZOPPS – but hidden from view ( usually for kickbacks ) and NO PRIME CONTRACTOR in Kuwait is forced to produce, let alone abide by the SUBCONTRACTOR PLAN where 45% of their subcontracted dollars goes to a U.S. Registered and genuine small business set aside. Veteran owned, woman owned, black owned, or North American Indian owned ( INDIANS of Kuwait are not a U.S. Registered category ) sorry.

Drawing in bids and issuing an amendment last minute is the forte’ of Camp Arifjan now and disclosing the low bid to the highest bidder.

The creation of ACC cannot and never will instill the integrity in the United States Army necessary to conduct clean, fair and open contracting. 20 + contracting officers going to jail, many who Joel Millman has documented in the Wall Street Journal and many who have their own Wikiup pages are a testimate to U.S. Tax Dollars not being spent according to CICA – the competition in contracting Act. Whether under the oversight of LtCol Shane Dietrich or now Colonel Rogers. The contracting irregularities continue – except with the protection or ignorance of the Army CID and the Department of Justice’s agents looking the other way.

All too bad. Congress was bamboozled by the Army telling them a General could lead a contracting command and they would be independant of contractors like CACI ( wasn’t CACI their shield in ABU GHRAIB ) and still they cannot write a BPA ( Blanket Purchase Agreement ) with any degree of competence ( under the direction of Colonel Rogers ) and issue more last minute Amendments and illegal amendments after bidding closed than any other Agency. All from one base. Is it the systemic and identified corruption of Camp Arifjan or is CONGRESS just stupid and getting kickbacks themselves from ITT, General Dynamics, SAIC, or Honeywell. What is going on. You certainly cannot ask DOJ or Army CID as they gave a $ 2 Billion contract to ITT while they were under probation and just having fined them $ 100 Million for violating the trust of the American People. The DOJ and the Army covered up a Qui Tam case to protect ITT from another instance of overcharging – LARGER THAN THE AGILITY CASE !

    Go gettem Ms Sparky
