This is the face of a Level 2 Sex Offender! , 26 is suing the mother of his victim because she has been blogging about him and now he claims he can not find a job because of it.

Updated Nov. 9, 2011

From ’s blog “Our story…..help” dated November 4, 2011

Today, I had a sweet victory! The blog stays as is! The lawsuit was dismissed with prejudice! I am still soaking it all in. When the judge so calmly ruled, tears of relief started to fall down my face. This victory is for all the other “victims” out there that have wanted to speak up but have been unable to. We must be able to tell our stories, in particular when there is documented evidence to support the claims. I believe with all my heart, Awareness is the best prevention!

It seems you can’t wake up on a Saturday morning and relax with a cup of coffee while watching the news without being totally assaulted by the shear audacity of criminals and their attorneys.

It would appear Level 2 registered sex offender, Patrick Rojas, 26 has gotten his feelings hurt because Danielle Schneider, the mother of one of Rojas’ victims has been blogging about his crimes at her personal blog Our Story….Help. Rojas and his brother have filed suit against her, claiming her blogging about him and his  has kept them from getting a job. I’m thinking he can’t get a job because he’s a registered sex offender! Who would want to work with this guy!

“The majority of the postings discuss the plaintiffs and the Rojas family and publicize many private details about the family, some of which are untrue, some of which are supposition, most of which are vengeful,” their lawsuit states.

The Rojas brothers have lost job opportunities because of the blog, the suit states.

Eric and Danielle Schneider’s daughter was sexually assaulted by Rojas in January of 2007. Rojas is the son of  , former pastor of Peninsula Household of Faith Community Church in Port Orchard,WA were Schneider and her family attended. Eddie Rojas has since fled the country with his family and reportedly a warrant has been issued for his arrest for witness tampering in the sexual assault case. It is believed he knew about Patrick’s crimes and fled the country in an effort to keep three of his own daughters from being interviewed. It is believed that Eddie Rojas, his wife Kathy and 11 of their children are in the United Kingdom.

A plea agreement reduced Patrick Rojas’ charges to “Communication with minor for immoral purposes” and Rojas served only 10 days in jail and completed 9 months of treatment, according to the suit. (Read the rest of the story here…)

Hit for Lax Oversight of $4.2 Billion Afghan Contract

Tony Capaccio – March 4, 2011 – U.S. Department personnel overseeing a $4.2 billion food supply contract, one of the largest in Afghanistan, failed to prevent overpayments and potentially incorrect charges, according to the Pentagon inspector general.

Supreme Foodservice AG of Ziegelbrucke, Switzerland may have been overpaid $124.3 million for transportation and corrugated packing boxes, according to the report released late yesterday. Pentagon personnel also had no assurance that billings for another $103 million in boxes was accurate or “even chargeable to the contract,” it said.

The company also was paid about $455 million for airlifting fresh fruits and vegetables from storage areas in the United Arab Emirates to Afghanistan without military personnel ensuring the prices were “fair and reasonable,” according to the audit.

The audit was mandated by Congress in the fiscal 2008 defense bill and required the inspector general to identify “potential fraud, waste and abuse” in contracts for logistical support for Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Defense Department, State Department and paid $17.7 billion to about 7,000 contractors and aid groups from fiscal years 2007 to 2009 for Afghanistan services, according to the Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction.

AG provided food and non-food distribution as required while Defense Logistics Agency personnel “did not adhere” to federal regulations for making contract provisions final “in a timely manner.” They also failed to set up quality assurance and other procedures “to monitor contractor costs and performance,” it said.

Contract Renewed

The Defense Logistics Agency as of last month has paid the company $4.2 billion on a contract awarded in December 2005. It’s been renewed in December for one base-year and two six- month options, said spokesman Michelle McCaskill in an e-mail.

US Supreme Court gives Westboro Wackjobs free pass to harass fallen heroes

This is what these Wackjobs teach their children. They are raising a whole new generation of misguided, socially inept outcasts!

Vile, disgusting, misguided, evil. That’s just a few of the names I think of when referring to The in Topeka, Kansas. Westboro is run by , a washed up disbarred attorney self proclaimed voice of God who personally praises Saddam Hussein.

Westboro is most notable for the disgusting practice of protesting at the funerals of  fallen soldiers, tormenting their families and adding to their already immeasurable pain by carrying signs and  shouting slogans such as “Thank God For Dead Soldiers”, “Pray For More Dead Soldiers” and “Thank God For 9-11″! The people are just insane!

In response to Phelps’ protests at military funerals, President George W. Bush signed the Respect for America’s Fallen Heroes Act into law in May 2006. Several states have passed additional laws to protect the rights and dignity of our fallen heroes and their families at their funerals. (Read the rest of the story here…)

Former Army Major Eddie Pressley and wife Eurica found guilty on 22 charges

enters federal court in Decatur for his trial on bribery charges (The Huntsville Times)

It took a federal jury in Alabama less than a day to convict a former US Army major and his wife of 22 counts of bribery, fraud, conspiracy and money-laundering on Tuesday.

Maj. Eddie Pressley and his wife Eurica, of Harvest, Ala., were accused of accepting $2.8 million in bribes between 2004 and 2006. Now, each faces a maximum sentence of 75 years in prison, US officials said.

The case against the Pressleys arose from a corruption probe focusing on , a US military base in Kuwait. The Pressleys were the first people in the case to go to trial.

Previously, 14 people had pleaded guilty to a mix of charges. Eight were former officers or enlisted personnel.

The case arose from what investigators called a free-wheeling culture of bribe-making and bribe-taking in Kuwait during the run-up to the US’s 2003 invasion of Iraq. Over three years, Arifjan contracting officers supervised activities ranging from base construction to transporting newly arrived soldiers to awarding millions of dollars in contracts for bottled water.

In December 2006, Army Maj. Gloria Dean Davis was detained for questioning in Baghdad over $225,000 that investigators found in the contracting officer’s overseas bank accounts. Davis agreed to cooperate, investigators say, but never did. She committed suicide with her gun within hours of being debriefed. Her suicide spurred a slew of search warrants, leading to several arrests.

Pressley was one of four Arifjan majors implicated in the probe. He was charged with conspiring with retired Army Sgt. to rig bottled-water bids as well as contracts to provide gravel and chain-link fencing. The two suspects acquired a $5 million parcel of land in Muscle Shoals, Ala., to develop as a resort property, according to evidence presented at trial.

Hall pleaded guilty in the case and testified against his former partner. At least two more senior officers are cooperating with investigators and are also expected to be charged, according to US officials. (click HERE for original article)

Another Dyncorp LOGCAP IV Project Manager bites the dust

Who remembers Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots?

It was just last September when I wrote about the resignation/demotion/transfer call it what you will of Dyncorp’s manager Hank Miller and his Deputy Project Manager . Many many employees breathed a sigh of relief as these two headed to the tarmac.

During the rein of Hank Miller and Scott Mount, many Dyncorp employees were not being paid on time, employee turnover was very high, moral was very low and according to my sources the client was not happy with Dyncorp’s performance. There was much anticipation with the announcement that would replace Hank Miller in the position of Project Manager. I have to be honest the number of complaints I’ve heard from Dyncorp employees has drastically reduced since took the helm.

That didn’t last but six months and now Joe Schmitt has joined the ranks of “Past LOGCAP PM’s”. Reportedly there was a “incident” at near Kandahar involving Schmitt and the Base Commander, Lt. Col. David Applegate. It is alleged, the incident may have gotten physical. Regardless of the reasons, no one should EVER go there, especially our leaders. I don’t know if it was a voluntary or encouraged resignation of his position, but Dyncorp really had no other choice but to remove him from Theater. I have yet to confirm the rumors regarding Lt. Col. David  Applegate’s consequences. It’s unfortunate on both sides.

In an email sent to Dyncorp employees Schmitt states he will still be working on the LOGCAP project, so apparently he hasn’t been terminated. (Read the rest of the story here…)

CWC Commissioners give award winning performance at Hearing

One day after the 83rd Annual Academy Awards, the Commission on Wartime Contracting (CWC) held a their 20th hearing on wartime contracting. This hearing was entitled  “Ensuring contractor accountability: Past performance and suspensions and debarmements“.  I only wish there was an Academy Honor for the “Best Tough Guy”  on the CWC.  These Commissioners would certainly have my vote.   Perhaps a more appropriate honor would be a Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence!  The Commissioners continue to show the country how bipartisan politics should work for the greater good of our country, not for personal petty ass partisan agendas.

Their tough as nails approach and ability to to ferret out the truth amongst the BS some witnesses attempt to baffle the Commission with is truly amazing and keeps the audience riveted.  Yes, I said riveted and when it comes to hearings and the day to day business of our government that is usually not the case. But the Commission accomplishes this with each hearing they conduct.

Yesterday’s hearing was no exception, several witnesses attempted to spend their time testifying about everything but the issues and trying their damnedest not to answer the questions.  I once heard someone describe this type of doublespeak as “spending all day talking about a broom but never getting to the handle.”  Our awarding winning cast on the Commission will have none of it and are quick to call these types to the carpet. These double-talkers are verbally dragged back on point squirming all the way.
