KBR’s starting lineup for LOGCAP IV in Iraq
Below is the supposed key managers for the new LOGCAP IV Task Order 2 that KBR was recently awarded for CTP which includes Corps Logistics Support Services (CLSS), Theater Transportation Mission (TTM), Postal Services, Ice Plant Operations, and some Air Terminal Operations to support the U.S. armed forces throughout Iraq in the amount of $2.8B.
Mike Mayo, LOGCAP IV Principal Program Manager
Craig Castellana, LOGCAP IV Deputy Program Manager
Sarah Ui Mhuirgheasa, LOGCAP IV Operations Manager
Floyd Driver, CTP Project Manager
Thomas Sellars, CTP Integration Manager
Wiley Fletcher, CTP Iraq Postal Mission Project Manager
Frederick Philan, CTP Theater Transportation Mission Project Manager
Dale Free, CTP CLSS Project Manager
I really don’t know to much about these managers except for Wiley Fletcher and Mike Mayo. So feel free to chime in and let us know what you think of this management chain.
Personally I think it is the same ole LOGCAP III garbage on a LOGCAP IV contract.

I can contribute a little here goes.
Craig Castellana, was a DFAC PSM that contributed largely to GCC being awarded the majority of the DFACs contracts in Iraq Theater. When things got hot he decided to get out of the kitchen and Demobbed back to the USA.Coincidentally right after he left GCC no longer was being awarded any contracts but other vendors were being selected. Its kinda of Funny how he was selected to work with Mike Mayo who was also embedded with GCC when they were being awarded a lot of contracts, we will see what happens with this and where it goes.

Here is another interesting thing for everyone. If you are fat they are going to send you packing. I think it is discimination but I guess KBR Legal has already figured that they can get away with it just like they have with everything else. I am down at ADDER and all of us in the TTM side of things don’t know how long we have to last here. I guess they are going to send all of the EXPATS home and replace us with cheaper labor like the Indians, Nepalese and Pakistanies. God help the U.S. Army when that happens.

its not a KBR rule its a military requirement, a BMI of 40 is still pretty big but you can stay if you are 40 or less! when the pay scale goes down thats when everybody will be de mobing!
Wednesday, April 14th 2010 at 6:14 pm |
It is not KBR legal driver, it is LOGCAP 4, if you have ever applied for Fluor or Dyncorp it states your BMI must be less than 40 percent and Dyncorp it is 39 percent so if you exceed that limit you cannot work on LOGCAP 4 according to the governement. So don’t spin in on KBR legal driver it is government who requires this. We all know that this was coming so make sure you have your facts straight.

How can the military require contractors to submit to weight standards when they have a bunch of soldiers who can’t even pass muster. I think the Army needs to fix their own house before they start enforcing rules on others.
Wednesday, April 14th 2010 at 6:17 pm |
Civilian contractors and military are two different monsters hand. We all knew this was going to happen but we all choose to keep eating those cheese burgers and junk food. Start eating healthy or you will be going home.
Tuesday, April 13th 2010 at 11:43 pm |
By the way if the BMI get enforced then I hope the fat ass managers have to go home as well.
Wednesday, April 14th 2010 at 6:22 pm |
LOL, if you exceed the BMI then you will go home unless KBR can find a way to spin it. Which as you see they have not and they are going to enforce the rule. I am at Adder as well and yes i see alot of you TTM guys. If you are on LOGCAP 4 they are enforcing the BMI, but if you are still on LCP 3 then those rules don’t apply and i heard they are going to extend the BLS portion because the ground commanders said hell no to OP Chaos 2 Chaos 1 was afghanistan and they did not want that here in Iraq.

Why in the world would KBR hire Mike Mayo to lead another major contract. Wasn’t it under his watch that KBR was issued a Level III CAR, mostly due to the military not liking him and it was their way to get even? KBR had a chance for a fresh start with a new contract under LOGCAP IV, but they just went back to the same old problems. Not one of these managers are new, and in fact, are all currently employed by KBR in one capacity or another.
It is curious what gonewild99 said about Craig Castellana and his ties to GCC, I wonder what his background is and how qualified he is to be the Deputy Program Manager for a multi-billion dollar project.
Sarah Ui Mhuirgheasa is the former LOGCAP III Communications Manager? I just read your post on Heather Browne, and Sarah had the same position in Iraq. She is a Mayo crony who wasn’t qualified for the job in Iraq and she has never worked in Operations. So that begs the question of how she can be qualified to be an Operations Manager for LOGCAP IV.
As for the other KBR LOGCAP IV announcements, it won’t matter as long as the senior leadership drags them down.
Wednesday, April 14th 2010 at 1:53 pm |
Many of the “KBR Faithful” have lost faith over these announcements. I always thought KBR was a good company and simply let LOGCAP III get out of hand. But now, when they could start over, they make the same mistake again. I for one now believe KBR is not a very good corporation, but I believe in supporting the troops and love the pay check, so I am somewhat a hypocrite, I guess.
Wednesday, April 14th 2010 at 6:30 pm |
I don’t believe it will be business as usual, they are checks and balances in place or soon to be in place. There is going to be less BS on LogCap 4 and any other awards KBR may win. The governement has seen how Fluor and Dyncorp is progressing in Afghanistan do you think they want the same deal here? Also i have heard Afghanistan was a start up for LOGCAP 4, BULLCRAP that project was established but the new contractors wanted to reinvent the wheel or in Dyncorps case make the wheel square. All they had to do was pay the people fairly and life goes on nope, bring a bunch of foreign nationals and actually cost the government more and look at what is happening there CARS and CMIPs flying everyday and nothing is said. Now if KBR gets a CAR the world stops turning. I read an article on Huffington post talking about Iraq and KBR electrical, citing KBR was charge to provide oversight. Well I guess Fluor and Dyncorp is charged with providing oversight in Afghanistan and as you can see they are violatiing fire codes and electrical practices well no one is beating the drums there until there is a tent fire and hundredes of people die then i am sure you won’t read about it here on Sparky’s blog. Have a good night folks.

Hey Sparky aren’t you using the Gran Theft Auto images to promote your site is a copyright infringement? Because if you are profiting from you site which i believe you are due to the ads you have can’t the makers of the game ask for compensation? Just wanted to make you aware of that, don’t want them coming after you asking for some god awful amount of compensation. Just figured i give you a heads up.

Witty huh? I just couldn’t resist. If they come after me then they can have the whole $1.25!
Thursday, April 15th 2010 at 9:51 am |
LOL, sparky you have a great sense of humor you know i had to say something. I am always looking out for you
. That 1.25 can hit the powerball for a cool 300 million.

Can you say Mission Failure. When a lot of us “Fat Employees” go home there won’t be enough employees to be able to continue the mission. All R&R’s will be cancelled and everyone will have to work 20 hours a day. During the time all of my future former co-workers are being killed by working long hours I will be at home in the unemployment line, calling my lawyer for discrimination and posting everything I can to bring down KBR. Vengence is great.
Thursday, April 15th 2010 at 9:59 am |
LOL, come on big un how can you say discrimination LOGCAP 4 has been preaching for about a year about the BMI. The mission won’t fail and you know it. Stop squawking about calling your lawyer you will suing the government not KBR because they put this practice into place. Yes Vengence is great as long as you can prove it but you will be doing from back home. Again they have been saying BMI for a year and you choice to not to try and make a difference. 20 hours a day no sir that won’t happen, this is LOGCAP 4 no more wild west of the good old days. they will have Iraqi pushing loads up and down the roads. You ever heard of Iraqi first and subcontractors???? Plus not all of the truck drivers do not exceed the BMI standards.
Saturday, April 17th 2010 at 5:37 am |
I can still put KBR into the headlines about how they could care less about their employees who have faithfully stood by them for many years. I’m sure that my senators will love to hear about how their unemployment numbers have increased because of discrimination.
I know that rumors have been going around about LOGCAP IV having BMI standards but KBR would not just come out and tell everyone about their inability to provide a job to those who are over-weight. Now should we stress ourselves out over this or just face the music. I am fat and I will admit it but for me to have worked for a company as long as I have only to be told that my services are no longer required is bulls**t. I have more to say about this but I want to hear what comes from the legal dept. I’m sure they are trying to figure out how to shaft everyone like they have done so well already.
Sunday, April 18th 2010 at 5:55 pm |
you can still do that hand but you will be putting out that KBR is playing by the rules by not employing folks who exceed the BMI or do not the screening process SF85. Legal is going to say KBR is abiding by the qualifications for employment set forth by US government. You are shafting yourself sir not KBR. It is NOT BS for a change, they put the rumors out or should we say the writing on the wall for those to have time to get down under there BMI and you sir choose not to try and make weight. I am sure your Senator will say that we appreciate you bringing this to our attention but the contractor is applying th rules of the contract. Thank you for writing is what you will get. If you are offered a position then good if not then i am sorry try Fluor or Dyncorp. IF it happens to me i am not offered a position then i will say my tenure is up and time to move on this is not a career. Yes it will be alot of back stabbing and throwing people under the bus. That is contracting everyone knows it but just won’t admit it.
Monday, November 29th 2010 at 11:08 am |
I am over the BMI and that is my fault. I’m doing something about it though but wish they came out with it a year ago and put it out officially. Yeah I should of read the writing on the wall and should of not of gotten as heavy as I am. However I will lose it and come back or somewhere else (Aantartica?). A few months off would be a relief. Speaking of “writing on the wall” if you smoke you might work on quiting if you are going to work here and perhaps some other places. You are going to get healthy. Blood pressure, EKG, and sugar levels. How many are still complaining about KBR and wishing they were back making the money? One point was made about so many employees from Louisiana? During the time in the begining it was apparently difficult to get people to join up. So friends and neighbors were asked to come over. Not everyone was qualified for the job (given or signed up for) but it was a unique time. I think KBR has gotten better in compliance and all in my 7 years.

Floyd Driver, CTP Project Manager–decent manager moving back to Houston to work for corporate KBR. Dale Free head of friends and family with benefits network. Heard he recently slighted a qualified applicant a position and left it empty so he could fill the position for the good ole buddy system. Also heard he was wheelin and dealin as best as he could all his buddies into network to try and take Floyds position before
Floyd left to work for headquaters. Also heard things are fallen apart a lot faster then expected!

TO: LOGCAP III Middle East Employees
FROM: Jeff Rock, Chief of Staff, LOGCAP III Middle East
SUBJECT: LOGCAP IV CTP Task Order Update
As you know, the U.S. government announced it has awarded KBR the CTP contract, a cost-plus, fixed-fee contract. This contract is known as LOGCAP IV Task Order #0002, and was awarded to support the Corps Logistics Support Services, Theater Transportation Mission, Iraq Postal Services, and ice plant operations throughout Iraq.
From April 13-15, the U.S. government hosted a post-award contract to discuss the differences between the proposal and current support requirements. Two differences that arose were the transition timeline and Defense Contract Management Agency and Defense Contract Audit Agency audit procedures. These will be resolved in the near future.
The CTP task order will reflect the requirements of the current support unit – the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary). The task order will transition from LOGCAP III to LOGCAP IV by function – CLSS and ice plant operations will transition first, followed by the postal mission, then the transportation mission. The complete transition is scheduled to be finished by Aug. 31, 2010.
The final labor numbers and workforce mix – meaning how many American expatriates, foreign national direct-hire employees and sub-contract workers will be required – has not been determined. One thing is known – in order for current LOGCAP III employees to transition to LOGCAP IV CTP, they must receive a job offer, and if the job offer is accepted, they must undergo a medical and security screening as required by the new contract.
A second, more in-depth, post-award conference will be held at Joint Base Balad from April 26-29. During this conference, details of the requirements and associated workforce will be worked out between the U.S. government and KBR.
The transition team will provide more information as it becomes available.

Hah! This makes me soo mad. anything actually that I get to read about KBR makes me mad. I was a good employee. I done my job and done it well, but i got sent home because i did not sleep with the manager. Typical KBR. But with this BMI bs. Every manager that I have ever met and still know is not just big but HUGE!! And what every one of them that knows is not passing the BMI is getting hired in Houston or getting offers in Houston. My friends that are simply just employees( and yes maybe some are big but damn good workers) were told only 2 weeks ago about the BMI, were forced to fill out their security clearance( even thought it even says on the top that you only need to do that if you get a new job offer for LOGCAP IV ( what they did not) and as of next week by May 10 they have to have their physical done. That one of them I know will not pass. I don’t know what KBR is planning and how they are planning on helping the one that does not pass, but if they are following goverment regulation in the military when Soldiers or Airman do not pass physicals they are given a chance and they have to go to classes to try to lose weight and after the time given if they still do not pass, they gone. I am very much hoping KBR will do that too, because if not, I’llbe standing in the line at the Court and helping my fellow co-workers to sue KBR.An other BS..that I don’t get. Have anyone ever looked around on a military base in the US how heavy most of the GS employees are??? And they are GS!!! Not contractor civilians!! How about we start checking their weights too!!! KBR needs new managment, start with Houston. KBR is a good company to work for but the wrong people are running it. I know every manager( well most).I worked withe them when they were nothing but Foremans. I know well how they got to the positions where they are at right now. Not always a fair, legal story. Buddy, buddy system. Too bad. I am not suprised why the military does not like KBR overseas. There are lot of stories i have from the past. I hope to the guys there who are serving our Country just as the military( and does get appriciated for like the military does) things will work out and I hope things will get better and this BS will stop and so they can do their job without having them go through all this stress( and their families that are scared now, because there are NO jobs in America that they can fill in when they come home)
Wednesday, April 28th 2010 at 6:46 pm |
you are so right, after i got terminated on some bs it took me 7mo to find a temp job, this sucks for real, i guess i can chalk it up as a lost b/c i dont think they will rehire me even though DRP says i am eligible for rehire. I was a damn good work as well and i meet my BMI also, just waiting on a call back and would like to know of any recruiter who hire for postal, i am so ready to go back..
Wednesday, April 28th 2010 at 2:04 pm |
Bw,
Your right there are no jobs back here and the contractors over there continue to hire people from other countries (FN’s). Makes you wonder if our government just doesn’t give a shit.
Wednesday, April 28th 2010 at 6:13 pm |
Actually not only does the Government no give a chit – they have directed in writing that the LC contractors hire TCN’s in order to reduce costs.
So if you want things to change take it up with your Congressional Representatives.

Dear KBR LOGCAP III Employees:
Due to the current situation caused by the LOGCAP IV Transition, Management has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 40 years of age and above on early retirement. This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).
Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to management to be considered for the SHAFT scheme (Special Help After Forced Termination).
Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (Scheme Covering Retired-Early Workers).
A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as Management deems ap propriate. Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependants & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).
Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Management.
Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much SHIT (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Management has always prided itself on the amount of SHIT it gives employees. Should you feel that you do not receive enough SHIT, please bring this to the attention of your Supervisor, who has been trained to give you all the SHIT you can handle.
Sincerely,
Management
PS Due to recent budget cuts and the rising cost of electricity, gas and oil, as well as current market conditions, the Light at the End of the Tunnel has been turned off.
