Dyncorp LOGCAP vehicle heading to maintenance (the barn)!
I am getting inundated with emails and comments asking about the rumor that DynCorp has been issued a Level IV Corrective Action Request (CAR) by the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) for their poor (virtually non existent) performance in Southern Afghanistan.
Since Mr. Williams, Director of the DCMA has not added me to his email distro list as I requested, I am out of the loop on this one.
If anyone “in the know” wants to expound on this rumor feel free.
A Level IV CAR is a very serious violation and would be a first step in not extending DynCorp’s LOGCAP Task Order 4 after the first year is completed.
I feel DynCorp deserves a Level IV CAR at the very least for their employee rights violations much of which is nothing short of human trafficking in SE Asians and Americans.
If anyone has a copy of this alleged CAR, or any other CAR for that matter, and would like to send it to me that would be AWESOME!!Click HERE

I would not be surprised. Word on the street prior to my demobbing 27 Mar was that DynCorp had lost the contract. So a CAR would NOT be a stretch. This company took on more than it bargained for. Agility wasn’t that much better, but DynCorp makes KBR look like the dream job to have! LOL!
Agility contacts informed me that DynCorp bet the house that Agility would fulfill most of the Iraq/Afghan contract requirements for LOGCAP. After DynCorp expelled Agility as its subcontractor, it’s clear DynCorp didn’t have a plan B to operate abroad. DI employed 30 personnel in Ft. Worth to plan and prepare support of all LOGCAP TOs. Turns out those 30 personnel relied almost entirely on the Agility DGS staff to coordinate all the work, labor, and subcontractors. Well, it doesn’t take a genius to realize that once Agility was ‘fired’ and/or the DGS staff were fired due to the 6 criminal indictments, DynCorp had to start from square one. Hence the disaster we now see in Iraq/Afghanistan. LOL.
Sad how DynCorp didn’t have a contingency plan for a contigency operation. These same 30 DynCorp employees and their leadership literally stole a CONOPS and pricing my team constructed and used both as their own after promising to sole source it to my organization. Crooks I tell you.
Well i hope they make a decision concerning what they plan to do. They will just award it to Fluor or KBR. Fire a bunch of people and start from scartch. Best way to fix it.
Hi,
Me again! Sparky1224.I am heading into Afghanistan with what seems to be a surge of electricians. I sense another “Grounding and Bonding” mission coming on. It would not surprise me in the least. Same song and dance, Dyncorp theater management allowed and assigned non licensed personnel to perform electrical work in place of licensed, qualified electricians. What I mean by this is that HVAC, Carpentry, and other personnel who were not even Dyncorp staff, prformed electrical repairs and installations. I have the emails to back what I say. I will let you know what I find out when I hit ground.
I can only imagine what has taken place since the last mission. There were many arguments by those of us who went through the first mission with KBR as to the way electrical issues were being handled by Dyncorp management on Kandahar, Leathernack, and various FOBs. Of course, we were met with the same mentality that got KBR removed from Afghanistan in 2009. The reality is that Dyncorp should have seen these CARs coming, seeing how they hired a lot of the same management staff that created the same situation with KBR.
