There were several moments of during the Franken Amendment, that can be described as "very frustrating by the partisanship" due to defense industry contracting groups.

Those that have been and are now having to deal with the above mentioned insurance company feel as though we have been or are being metaphorically speaking, RAPED over and over again.
It took a former comedian turned congressman to start the process and finalize a law that will benefit Jamie Jones and so many many more.
Good has come out of something so bad.

This was not me.....this was all Jamie Leigh Jones and Al Franken and a few others! This will benefit 1000's of employees. Because even if you are not being discriminated and harassed under Title VII, the type of manager who would harass under Title VII would harass anyone for anything. This SHOULD weed out a lot of the reprobate managers who have just never been called to task. Now they are going to get KBR and others sued publicly and it's going to cost them some money!

It's a shame this law doesn't apply to AIG/AIU Holdings for "Intentional Emotional Distress"!

GOOD WORK Miss Sparky. I’m sure this will benefit several employees. This will no doubt force some Human Resource departments not to use sub contracting headhunters who choose not qualify their applicants and ignore the use of psychological evaluations during pre-employment screenings.

What about contractors that work for KBR(UK) and they were forced to sign new contracts.
* reason 1 - the recession is making us do it.
* reason 2 - they had to cut our salary other wise they would be forced to retrenched half the people
* reason 3 - we had to change your leave from 6 months to 1 year and only getting paid for three weeks
* reason 3 - they had to cut our off site salary to lest than a 1/4

FINALLY--contracting companies can't force "signing away" human decency. Safer world when Rules of Law are emplaced. Job well done!
