Has Dyncorp cut Agility loose in Afghanistan and Kuwait? YES!

Rumors from Afghanistan are that Dyncorp has cut Agility (formally known as Public Warehousing Company-PWC) and one of their subsidiaries, Gulf Coast Catering-GCC loose. I have yet to confirmed this, but it wouldn’t surprise me.

Dyncorp teamed up with CH2M Hill and Agility and were approved by the DoD to bid on LOGCAP IV task orders. Now that Agility has been indicted by the Department of Justice they and all their subsidiary including Gulf Coast Catering are suspended from bidding on or being warded any future DoD contracts pending the outcome of the indictments. That could take YEARS!!! If they are found guilty, they will most likely be debarred from government contracting.

So where does this leave Dyncorp and CH2M Hill? They are all in this together. CH2M Hill is a very reputable company in the Pacific Northwest. I can only imagine they’re saying “Oh my God….what have we gotten ourselves involved with?”

There are several big LOGCAP IV task order currently up for grabs in Iraq. One is the CTP task order Corp Logistics, Theater Transportation and Postal Services. If Dyncorp bid that with Agility….they are out. If Dyncorp is to be awarded any future task orders under LOGCAP IV or any other DoD contracts, Agility has got to go.

KBR has not been untouched by this indictment either. Gulf Coast Catering runs several Dining Facilities (DFAC’s) in Iraq. There will be NO contract modifications…nothing! So where does that leave the soldiers, civilians, GCC subcontract workers and the DFAC’s in Iraq?

There is a good question. What will Agility and GCC do with all the subcontract workers they brought in from India, Nepal, Sri Lanka etc? Hopefully, if Agility and GCC are out, they won’t leave thousands of workers stranded in a war zone. But, because they are subcontracted to Dyncorp, I think Dyncorp is ultimately responsible. This could turn into a major human trafficking issue.

I would love to hear from Agility, GCC, Dyncorp and KBR workers on this issue.

It was announced today that Dyncorp has ended it’s relationship with Agility/Taos effective Dec 16th

  2. anon says:

As of December 16, 2009 2400hrs CST Agility DGS was notified of a decision from DynCorp International (DI) to remove Agility DGS from LOGCAP IV.

Agility DGS understands that these recent events have led to the development of tentative offers for employment being extended in mass from DI. We recognize the necessity for continuity in support of the American war-fighter. We also recognize our employees have personal obligations which are affected by their ability to continue gainful employment. Agility DGS remains supportive of its employees, and encourages those employees currently on assignment with LOGCAP IV to make the best possible decision for their own personal sustainment. To include the acceptance of an employment offer extended from DI.

On December 17, 2009, there will be a hearing to challenge DI’s decision. Should our court action be successful, resulting in the restoration of Agility to LOGCAP IV, we would welcome your application for available opportunities.

You will receive additional communications from HR Director Jim Wilkes regarding out-processing specifics.

Ms Sparky-I just got out of a meeting where a DYNCORP HR person made the announcement—-and that 10 hrs ago all Agility/Taos employees overseas had an ‘All-Hands’ meeting letting them know.

Do you know what is going to happen to all the Agility/Taos employees?

Agility didn’t do squat, anyway. LOL.

    Neither has CH2mHill. Uh-oh.

Can you say “Manifest yourself on Milair.”?

First, you need a ride to the PAX terminal, and there aren’t any vehicles. OK. Walk. Oh, crap…you don’t have a CAC or LOA.

Better learn to speak Pashtu…and here’s your sheep. Have a Nice Day. Merry Christmas!

At least someone had the balls to authorize a pre-emptive strike to battle the insurgency namely the sub standard contractors who pass the buck and collect the cash and deny any wrong doing.

The thing is…it’s way more hosed-up than anyone outside of DI knows. DI doesn’t have all the parts of a functional machine, even with Agility and CH2mHill still in the mix. It’s not broken…it never ran in the first place. Assuming that all the people running things are competent and capable (and of course, they’re not), many of them simply can’t get things done because their counterparts in other functional areas aren’t even here.

Now the Agility demobs are popping up on the radar screen trying to get flown out. But wait… DI only knows how to push people out to FOBs…not bring them back here to KAF!

I’m sure Supreme is waiting in the wings to take over the DFAC. Time to send all of the TCN’s back home unless a couple of them can make decent curry!
Bring back Americans to the job and I don’t mean those coon ass fools from Leesville

Do you know mr. tarik sultan that agility dubai management is not working for the welfare of employees but they are for personal advancement and for their puppets. The operations runs out of brilliant and hardworking employees because they are not given importance in terms of benifits and other morale boosting formulas. Review the performance of your managers and supervisors here in dubai some dont even know what are the basics in warehouse operations.Imagine there is one project, 1 manager and 4 supervisors that duplicates and complicates the operation. You just have to serve a glass of tea everyday and you get increment and promotion, but if you dont and work hard you get nothing.
