Thanks for the merories - MsSparky.

In 1969, I believe was the year, the helicopter squadron I was attached to (HC-3)Helsuppron, Helicopter Combat Support Squadron Three, was selected to fly Mr. Hope, and the higest ranking officers and others to the USS Enterprise to present Mr. Hope with the Highest Civilian Medal given to a civilian. I remember because I was selected to stand watch over one of the two helicopters assigned to do this once in a lifetime flight, and I will never forget it either. I still have my squadron coffee cup too. If I knew how to get get a picture from my camera of the cup and to this box I would share it with all that might care to see it. U.S. Navy - 1968-1971 with that squadron, and my last year at another base.
Merry Christmas everyone :)!
