I would love to give you some positive feedback and direction however, the jobs you mention are pretty much all being done by Foreign Nationals. Unless you’re at the Senior Supervisor or Manager category, I would say Afghan/Iraq are pretty much out. With the new requirements for the SF 85 you’d probably never get past the initial background check because you had a previous denial. You might want to try some Foreign National companies and try turning the tables. Supreme is big in DFAC Services are subs to major contractors. Tofoir. PPI is also an idea. Everything else is under the contractors you mention. You may not be picky but these companies are extremely picky and are hiring more and more FNs/OCNS/LNs etc.

Im a former KBR & RMS employee….but i’ve been trying to go back as of recently. Not with either of those companies though.I was wonder if anyone knows and non clearance jobs/recruiters etc. FLUOR,DYNCRP,ITT,CSA,URS im not picky. My experience was in food service,MWR, & Billeting. I asked because my credit is not so good and i was once denied a clearance. Any feedback is helpful. thanks

I thank you for the information, and your maybe correct , I have applied for several 100 positions and nothing so far , but it makes sense, I would also take a job in Afghanistan, but getting in touch with someone from recruiters or .H.R is like winnig lottery, I have tried several numbers given to me , but no answer or everyone cant help, when i did get lucky one time I will also go with other companies, not being picky, thanks for the info and if you can give me a number or e-mail to ask I would appreciate it

Terrence, if I can suggest you call KBR HR Department in Houston and just verify your status. A lot of people were let go on the big RIF of 09, and were actually coded after the fact. Not all, but quite a few. HR told everyone they were rehire-able due to the fact they didn’t want to cause any problems as employees demobed. They wanted to get them out as quickly and quietly as possible. As for KBR hiring anyone for Iraq, at this moment it is all quiet on the western front. I’m near the flagpole of HQ and we are getting ready for another drawdown in force (KBR) in Dec-Jan time frame. This one is going to catch a lot of people off guard. I have your e-mail if something suiting your talents comes along.

WELL I WAS TOD BY H,R I WAS REHIREABLE AND THE CONTRACTS WERE DOWN SIZING AND THERE WERE A LOT OF PEOPLE THEY LET GO DUE TO DROW DOWN , SO IF YOU THINK OR KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT PEOPLE LET GO BECAUSE OF RIF, PLEASE LET KNOW , MY E-MAIL IS terranceterra2000@YAHOO.COM

I know for a FACT that if you are deemed non rehireable by KBR and only KBR, most of the other contractors will not use this against you as a non rehireable for KBR could be as little as going to the latrine or shower without you lanyard or hat on.

No that wasnt me , I came down on the RIf in iraq , I left and Iam rehire eligible, it is harder as you say to get hored , you wouldnt happen to have any names of the other companies , they are using , or any company at all it is a bit frustrating trying but I wont give up, thanks

Hey Terrance, Are you the Terrance KBR terminated for timesheeeet fraud by any chance? Operating a business on a KBR camp on KBR time per chance? If so, KBR placed a BIG no hire codes on terminations of this kind. When other companies inquire it pops up a red flag. If you are not him then KBR is in partnerships with others now and using another name in some cases. KBR is hiring but not as much as before.

Don’t know if you can help me or not. But I was with KBR from 2006 to 2008 woking as a locksmith and safe tech. Work at Al Asad and Green Zone.

Like to go back, but don’t know who is handling my trade. 35 yrs exp. in all phase of the trade.
I have exp. in other trades and would take other postions.
Not having much luck…..maybe you can piont me to the right people who need a good locksmith and I’m willing to train others in my trade.

I spent 4 years in Afghanistan on the SEII payroll. I left about one year ago. Everyone that I know who is still there and now working for FLUOR are singing the praises of the good old KBR days. These are the same people who used to complain the loudest about KBR. Funny how things work. I just finished reading an excellent book about working in Afghanistan. The book is titled 21st century camp follower and is available on Amazon. For those who have not been on a LOGCAP project and for those that have you will recognize the situations that are eloquently put forth in the book.

HQ Guy, give them all a few DAY OFF..without pay..maybe then they will see the light. Yes i too worked for KBR for over 4 yrs, not many complaints, jsut i had trouble building my “network” from the ground up…no complaints.
