This is a subject that is near and dear to my heart. I’m not being all righteous about prostitution. I feel all women who have the option to CHOOSE to be prostitutes have the right to charge for sex. Like some in Nevada who make the big bucks. God only knows American women have given enough of it away for free, or for a beer or for dinner so I don’t really disrespect those who can get money for it.
What I do have a problem with is women and children who are forced or coerced into prostitution. Or some manager of a LOGCAP contractor promoting prostitution at a camp in Iraq, Afghanistan, Kuwait, Dubai or Thailand. That same manager who would fire you for not wearing a baseball cap and lanyard.
Just so we are clear on what prostitution is. If you are giving a person money so they can send it to their families in their home country and then are having sex with them…..that is prostitution.
If you are paying someone to clean your trailer and then they offer to provide you with some sort of sexual favor……that is prostitution.
If you are paying someone to do your laundry and then they offer up a special “sumpin sumpin”…..that is prostitution.
I am not looking for the “end user” so to speak…although I do recommend a trip doctor. I am looking for the people promoting it, supporting it, hiding it.
Tell me about the LOGCAP camps with organized prostitution rings, past or present with Filipino or local women or men involving KBR employees, military or others.
Tell me about the employee packages to Thailand. Gotta love that cheap dental work!
Tell me about the employee privileges in Dubai.
Tell me about the pervs in your camp.
Please do not put peoples names in the comments. Email me names or other information by clicking HERE for the “Contact Us” page. You can be anonymous but PLEASE be honest.
Ms Sparky

I received some information a few days ago about an unannounced inspection at JMMT looking for any evidence of prostitution and….whatever else. Now the place is guarded tighter than Fort Knox.
Anyone have any more specific information about that?
Sorry, I know that there were a bunch of women sent home last year from the PX on TQ. Apparently it was a nice scam where the guy bought a stick of gum and handed a $50 or whatever over with the CHU number and time written on it, chump change was given and the woman would turn up later in the night but it was stopped and the cash with CHU numbers was taken and questions were asked.
We also had a TTM guy who was sent home, the next CHU called security because of loud noises, security knocked on the door and the driver opened it naked and a male TCN was in the bed. The driver looked out and was supposed to have said. “Well you caught me and I am going home, guess I may as well finish off.” He then shut and locked the door and the noise level increased again. TCN was sent home also.
The rings are known and tolerated as long as someone doesn’t step into the turf of another and then sometimes there are cooperatives set up to take the load off when one is too popular.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Was this all at Camp Taqqadum (TQ)? After hearing so many of the truly unbelievable accountings about things that went on over in Iraq, I thought I had achieved my maximum level of disgust. Well…..I was wrong. I am now going to have to come up with a whole new “disgust scale” thank you very much.
Alright….back to business. Do you know who was running the operation at the TQ PX? And as far as the TTM driver goes, someone had to have set the whole thing up. Do you know any more about that. And….if you know the names email them please.
OMG my skin is going to crawl for a week!!
GOOD GAWD! That’s disgusting. I’m laughing at the audacity of the driver but… WOW. SPEECHLESS!
Where is they lysol? Bleach anyone??? Can you say POWER SCRUB AT A NUCLEAR PLANT??
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Yep…that’s just nasty. And he worked and lived next to someone….I know for a fact he wasn’t the only perv over there! We had a pedophile in our camp. And I just told him straight up. “DO NOT GET IN FRONT OF MY TRUCK YOU SICK BASTARD BECAUSE I WILL RUN YOUR ASS OVER.” Too funny he would see me coming and move way out of the way. KBR, was that threats, intimidation and promotion of a hostile work environment? Well yes it was. You wouldn’t get rid of him and it got hostile!
While working for KBR in Kirkuk and Arkel in Baghdad, I saw how sex controls all. Our site manager in Kurkuk had my carpenter shop build furniture for filipino DFAC workers for sex. In Baghdad, While employed as camp manager, I was instructed to keep a room in our camp available for a Major and his prostitute in exchange for contract considerations. Guess thats how it is done there.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
For those wondering….yes…exchanging “furniture building” for sex is prostitution. What year was this?? Also…I’d like to talk about the Major and this camp where you kept his prostitute for him. No names. We will just call him “Major”. Tell me more!
While @ a base West of BIAP – I reported the Head of Security was living in a room next to a lady that worked in HR – with an adjoining bathroom. I reported this to the head of HR. Within days/2or3, the lady who shared the room was transferred to another base. I was later fired upon my return from R&R at the hotel in Dubai. The Security Dept. was the only dept. that wanted my termination. These two roommates were not married – at least to each other. I can’t say that this was prostitution, but I do know that it was against KBR policy for a man/woman to share rooms that had adjoining bathrooms, that wasn’t married.
I was told after an investigation that KBR Security was the department that wanted my termination. Thank GOD I was allowed to return to work/told to keep my mouth-shut and was transferred to another base myself.
How hard is it to do the right thing, moral thing, ethical thing? We teach our children to tell the truth, be good to others – then we see grown adults setting bad examples.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
With me the issue is not two people living together at a camp in Iraq. My issue is that there is a written policy on this and the offender is a Manager. The same manager that would fire you in a minute for something stupid. The inconsistent enforcement of the rules is what causes most of the hate and discontent.
So why were you fired?? Why was the woman just transferred?? She broke the rules too. What happened to the Security Manager?? Nothing?? I would love to know the camp and the time frame.
Sorry guys, I have been asked before to not be so graphic with my stories and also asked if there was bleach for the mind after telling someone about the things that go on over here at TQ, the place where nobody knew.
I do not recall the names of the driver or TCN. The PX group were all changed out afterwards and things were quiet for a while, I think things are still quiet there now though you can never tell and the stories of the hair dressers offering more than a blow dry are always common around each base just as they are here.
There have been a lot more things that even I cannot recall right now but I will try to remember the things that brought tears of laughter to my eyes over the years hee and send them your way.
A whole new disgust scale and mind bleach, I think I have set a new record even for me hahaha
Ms Sparky’s Response:
I’m not sure there was any way to relate that story that was not gross. Actually you did quite well. And yes…my skin is still crawling. But….I am looking for the truth and this truth is pretty ugly so I will figure out how to deal with the stories.
Bagram had the same issues at the Barbershop for a while until they cleaned house. In Kabul the Chinese had control of prostitution and was a sore spot for the Afghani officials but they continued to take the payoffs. One night we had to take the local police chief downtown for a visit. After all, half of our personal security forces were his anti-Taliban battle tested relatives and who directly responsible for my personal safety.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Who was running the operation?
I remember up at C1 in the billeting office around 2005-2007 there used to be a sign offering travel deals to KBR employees in Thailand. Anyone else remember that? It had a nice pic of the beach, I think it was Phuket deals or something.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
One of those “special” travel packages for KBR employees only!! I would love to get a pic of that sign/poster!!
Tashkent, Uzbekistan was basically a KBR employee’s hooker convention.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
That’s the first I’ve heard that. Hasn’t it been a while since we have been in and out of Uzbekistan? I think June/July 2004 was the last group of KBR people to transit to Baghdad from Uzbekistan. After that is was Dubai.
T.Q./2007-2008
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Man TQ seems to really have some problems. Thanks (This was in reference to the base west of BIAP comment.)
We were issued a Level II CAR for the JMMT prostitution incident. I wonder how many other CARS there are for prostitution issues.
CAR# D4-09-159-JMMT-0007 LII
Ms Sparky’s Response:
No kidding!! They are writing CARS for that now. Now if that happened to show up in my inbox, that would be pretty cool!! hint hint….wink wink
Rumor had it members from the Chinese Embassy were directly involved. I cannot confirm or deny this rumor. Rumors are a dime a dozen and are usually based upon loosely woven facts.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
So they are selling their own women!! Bastards!!
There was an internal investigation in 2007 at D&F Sites regarding upper management getting their rooms cleaned using the housekeeping dept.(SCWs). At the time I thought it was a fraud, waste and abuse investigation but now I have wonder if maybe housekeeping was polishing more than just upper mgmt’s door knobs.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Hmmmm! I’ll bet the results of that investigation are long gone!! DODIG…..are you listening!
to KBRSUX:
I just got an email that the CAR in question CAR# D4-09-159-JMMT-0007 LII was for issues in the JMMT (Joint Military Mail Terminal) at BIAP (Baghdad International Airport)
They claim the CAR has something to do with mail handling not (male handling).
I would still like to see the DCMA issue a CAR for the prostitution if that is in fact what happened.
Sounds like some big KBR management issues at JMMT. There should be at the very least “a loss of confidence” in KBR management.
There is only one sure way to settle this issue about what the CAR was issued for. Someone needs to send me the CAR.
Thank God my readers keep me straight!!!
There was the “Boom Boom Room” at the KBR LSA at Camp Taji in 2007 (possibly summer-early fall), supposedly it was run by a KBR supervisor or manager and he also had gambling in another room.
Ms Sparky’s Reponse:
“Hmm…” left this comment further down in response and I wanted to make sure they were connected.
That was the short billeting supervisor with the high and tight, he got busted and left shortly after I left Taji (April 2007) and was replaced by Hoss who I think is still there….
“Baboo Remembers said,on June 18th, 2009 at 8:59 am Tashkent, Uzbekistan was basically a KBR employee’s hooker convention.”
That is correct. In ’03-’04 you could get a hooker (with fish-n-game) for $300. In Tashkent, you could buy a small apartment for $500, so those girls were making a mint off of the fools who couldn’t keep their brains in their pants.
I don’t know how many times I treated someone for Tashkent related diseases.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Yes…that was when KBR was deploying in and out of Tashkent. Please explain what “fish-n-game” means.

That is too funny! I was the JMMT Medic in ’06-’07! We had a lot of shagging going on, and a couple queers on the payroll, but no prostitution at that time.
They also had ads for the Thai trips posted, but there was no indication that they were sex tours.
It wasn’t hard to pick up a bar-girl in Thailand for the duration of an R&R, so anyone advertising it was plain stupid.
Ms Soarky’s Response:
Anyone have a photo of those signs? I think the Thai tours were directing KBR employees to KBR Manager owned establishments. Do you have more info on that?
Okay Jimbo, for those of us that have never had to resort to purchasing affection, what is fish-n-game?
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Ditto on that question!!
I was there in 03-05 and on the second flight to Dubai when it first started. We had to stop in Pakistan to refuel. I remember being on the Paki tarmac and waiting for Taliban to attack the plane while refueling. By the time I arrived in Dubai we had been kicked out of one hotel as a direct result of some cowboy getting drunk and beating on the glass 5 stories up. He blacked out came too and said he was ready for work. He told was being sent home. No good Rat Bastard. That doesn’t include the two cowboys who hog tied a hooker in a room in Tashkent and left her there for security to find. They were fired. More class act stories from KBR employees.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
That’s what happens when you “low-ball” wages and “skim the gene pool” when recruiting.
How about prostitution of Bosnian and Kosovar girls at Al Asad and other B-sites who worked in a laundry.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
I removed the names of the girls to protect their privacy. I would like to more about this. Please email me. Thanks
Jimbo is right about that one!
Ms Sparky’s Response:
I’d love to get more information about that.
@….

Yes…that was when KBR was deploying in and out of Tashkent. Please explain what “fish-n-game” means.
Fish-n-game = STD’s, crabs, lice, etc.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
OK I get it. Oh that is just disgusting!!
“Ms Soarky’s Response:
Anyone have a photo of those signs? I think the Thai tours were directing KBR employees to KBR Manager owned establishments. Do you have more info on that?”
The signs I observed were the run-of-the-mill tourist fliers.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Thanks
My husband, who arrived in-country June 2005, told me repeatedly of the women at the Hadji-Mart (a Turkish flea-market store located in the PX compound) who would give ‘massages’. By the time I arrived in May 2007, they were no longer there. Apparently they were giving more than a massage and it was shut down by the military. I came home June 2008 and shortly there-after, the women returned to the Hadji-Mart but I don’t know if they are still there.
I remember the poster in billeting that advertised ‘tours’ in Thailand, but didn’t pay much attention (naive?).
My husband’s ex-supervisor, whom I’ll call Doofus, lived in the Phillipines and co-owned several ‘businesses’ there with his ‘wife’(according to him, the Phillipino government doesn’t allow non-citizens to wholly own businesses in that country). He called them his ‘clubs’ and was constantly encouraging his fellow workers to go to the Phillipines on their R&R’s and visit “one of my clubs”. Doofus was a real piece of work who, like countless others, didn’t know his rear from a hole in the ground about how to do his job. He started as a truck driver in 2003 and was wounded in an attack. I don’t remember what the location was, but he parked his truck in the wrong place and when the in-coming hit, his truck took the brunt of it, saving some of our military (or so he said). He was injured and after healing up, he was promoted to several different positions, including HR, that he was definitely not qualified for. He would always talk about the schrapnel he still had that couldn’t be removed for fear of inflicting further damage. Eventually this guy was transferred to a base in Northern Iraq. Thank goodness he was finally canned a few months ago.
As we all know, KBR is a sympathetic company to those who know nothing and have zero skills or abilities. If you’re skilled, knowledgeable, and trained to do your job, you are just shit-outta-luck…
Ms Sparky’s Response:
I think I know who you are talking about. I’m sure there were lots of not only KBR but other DoD contractor employees/managers who had “operations” in country, Thailand, Dubai, Philippines and anywhere else they could get away with it.
Oh…another thought: how many other ex-pat’s had to tolerate their managers catering to the Bosnian women while slamming you with work?
When my boots hit the ground, I was placed in Light Vehicle Maintenance where I sat for over a month with no work to do, regardless of the ten times a day I asked my manager what my duties were (that is, when he was available). Around 4 1/2 weeks after being in LVM, a new mamanger AND four Bosnian women were assigned to my office at the same time…you know, the same office that didn’t have any work for me to do. I smelled a rat from the get-go. A big hoopla was made about these women being assigned to our department and much fuss was made over them. All of the sudden, I had work to do! They had none, but would go on 30-45 minute ‘smoke breaks’ every two hours and daily trips to ‘Materials’that lasted for hours. Hmmm…
After finally taking my complaints to my manager’s supervisor (FAM), HR, and ER…gosh! It was discovered I was supposed to have been assigned to an entirely different part of the base upon my arrival in-theatre. Our base had two levels, Base and Area. I was transferred to Area. My husband worked at Base…what a coinky-dink!
I don’t know if this had anything to do with the prostitution issue, but I do know that the Bosnian, Serbian, Eastern European women – whatever you want to call them – did what they wanted, when they wanted, and with whom they wanted while it took almost six months, a huge amount of red tape, two copies of our marriage licenses, three ulcers, and countless migraines, plus a special dispensation from the Pope, for my husband and I to get a CHU together.
I’m just sayin’…
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Again, it all depended who you were. My husband and I couldn’t get on the same camp, but others could. Some camps it wasn’t a big deal for married couple to live together. Some camps it was. So inconsistent.
If you choose to partake in this crap that occurs on these bases then you do if you don’t then that is your business. If you are dumb enough to go to Thailand and marry one of those women then that is your own fault. IF KBR won’t let you live in a chu with your husband then that is not there responsiblity. Alot folks bash KBR because they can’t do what they want. I thought we came to Iraq to work not live with your husband or wife. I don’t think it said anywhere in the contract that you could live with your spouse. If the military wanted to be butt holes and quash it for everybody then what???? Again if you don’t like the BS then just quit. I read all of this bull crap about KBR this and KBR that then quit and go work for Dyncorp or Fluor or another contractor. Yes the pay is good to start but the cut back with will start with those companies as well. Call us all Time Sheet Frauds and whatever else but just do your job and not worry about what the jones are doing. I don’t bash people here i just speak the truth. If you have a extreme dislike for KBR then quit go home and write a blog expressing your displeasure for KBR. Toss KBR under the buss run them over do what you like but in the end see who the military goes running back to when they have issues. You will here news like this KBR given 120 day notice to assume the contract again in Kuwait due to non conformance per the contract and LOTD (letter of techinical direction) to provide manpower and materials to Fluor to assist them in correcting a Level 4 CAR. Thank you Ms Sparky for providing a sounding board for those who hate KBR.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Fluor was issued a Level IV CAR in Afghanistan? I’d like to know more about that. Also, I was under the impression that a Level IV CAR pretty much meant your contract was revoked.
And you’re very welcome.
KBR Wife. There were many US women also plying their goods on many camps and a lot of issues only came up when Eastern competition came on camp but I believe that the managers are mostly to blame or the hire by name process where they can call a buddy up and get them to the right site for the right or wrong reasons.
KSniper777. KBR did state in orientation that married couples could stay in the same CHU if one came available and could be arranged so yes, there were reasons for a couple to believe they could have a shared quarters as many on this base have. We have a moral and civic obligation to watch the Jons’s, especially if they are committing Federal violations of the law. KBR itself states that we are responsible for bringing wrongdoings to he attention of the company so we are actually doing what KBR demand and what any legal and ethic company would want. You say we should do our jobs but what do we do when our jobs are changed because we did the right thing and now are forced to do less or nothing simply because the managers do not want us to find more things wrong and get the right? Please direct your prepubescent vitriol to the KBR managers who created this mess and not those who seek to do the right thing and make the law something important again rather than an option.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Good points. Thanks
One issue the Army should not run back for is engineering and design. There isn’t any unless you want a someone who doesn’t understand Title 24 & 25….sorry about that…those don’t apply it’s a war zone!

Just wondering what E&D has to do with prostitution?
Well said, Jims thoughts…
To Curious:
It’s a bit of a stretch but KBR has prostituted their organization out to TCN’s !

People in the US have been bitching about the costs of the war for years.
I don’t like the Indians/Paki’s/SriLankans or Ugandans any more than the next person but, doesn’t it make political sense for the DOD to look for economically cheaper contractors?
In the light of international cooperation with coalition forces that have participated, come the spoils of war. This includes reconstruction contracts. Companies have exploited the spirit of international cooperation to bring in cheap and often unqualified labor force and have continued to provide billing for services based upon American and Western European wage scales. The client always suffers in the end and resulting in sub standard and non-compliant work as the companies continue to earn a profit for the owner or share holders.
Sub standard work is caused byalot of people and some of the worst ones I have seen were done by US Ex Pats hired by KBR. Some US and EU contractors and not the TCNs though I believe there are jobs where they can do just as good as anyone else.
If the Government was strong enough to tell KR to get things right out of their on pocket, as they were already paid to get it right first time, then you would see them start geting things right for a change
Jims thoughts, I suppose you could be right but what do you expect after the majority of the talent left the project.
Sadly too true indeed, those who did not leave were forced out ut we do stll have some who try to get things right and do work to be proud of or at least not feel shamed about chargin or. There are about 6 electricians on site, out of about 30, that I would trust to doanything without my watchng them, the others, I will wait until one of the others are free before calling for anyone.
The phrase,“Experience is always a greatest teacher,” is one people are not supposed to experiment with when dealing with human lives as evidenced by the many elocutions.
Sorry, too good to pass this up. If KBR had some Elocution I think things would be better, I have seen work orders with atrotious spelling and 2nd grade grammer.
I think the electrocutions are a part of the same issue in a way, people get lazy whether it is wordage or work ethics and once they get away with it long enough, they have no caus to do anything right as it is accepted even when completely wrong.
Experence is indeed a grea teacher but don’t we suspect the DOD should be experienced enough by now to do the right thing and start charging KBR for things not complete or finished yet? Jailing those whose names are on the shoddy work orders and also taking their supervisors in for exended questinoing without lawyers, as far as I am concerned anyone who endangers a member of the Armed Forces is engaged in terrorist activities and should be held until the investigation is complete, I am sure we would have EVERY manager roll out all information immediately if they had to face 1 week or month alone in a concrete cell.
It appears the DOD is overstretched and under staffed to properly monitor all of the contractors. I have no answers, but I did once suggest all nubies should eat K-Rats for a month in order to identify with the client, after someone began to complain about a specialty item not being readily available. That raised a few eyebrows.
I do agree with the comment,“Anyone who endangers a member of the Armed Forces is engaged in terrorist activities and should be held until the investigation is complete.”
Can somebody tell me what a CAR is?
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Corrective Action Request. They are written when a violation of the contract occurs.
Thanks for the definition
Anyone out there from Habbaniyan?

Hmm…, do you have a name for this supervisor? There may have been another incident at Taji recently possibly an assault or another brothel, any info?
They recently shi*c*nned a Madam from Talil. Running the ring..bye bye good job…hello unemployment
I would love to know more about this! Did she work for KBR or someone else? Who was she pimping?
yep- she was KBR expat. She was pimping eastern europeans. I dont know the name as I am pretty new here to the site.
Fired! She should have been arrested. It’s a violation of the FAR.
Pimp-Necken:
The state of being “pimp”, while still maintaining redneck qualities.
So who was she paying protection too?
Pimp-Necken?? Where do you come up with this stuff?
