Most of my “blogging time” is actually spent talking to people and forwarding them on to subject matter experts, investigators or attorney’s. I spend way more time on the phone than I do on the computer. I am just too busy to sit there and try to figure out who is specifically visiting my blog. Every now and then I look at the top 50 or so IP addresses. I recognize most as the DCMA, Senate, House, OSD, Rock Island, US District Court, Pentagon, KBR, Fluor, K&L Gates (KBR Attorney’s), Stanley Consultants, McKenna Long & Aldridge (KBR attorney’s). This list goes on and on. Then there is this one IP address that has hit my site close to 4000 times in the last few months. “Hmmmmm. Who could that be?” I ask. You got to love the internet. As my six year old grandson says “just google it”! Low and behold, this IP address belongs to none other than Pathway Forensics LLC a private investigation company from Houston that specializes in computer forensics.

I went to their “one page” site and emailed the four published addresses and asked them what their interest was in my blog and who their client was. Here is the actual email I sent, with no response I might add. How rude is that?

As I was reviewing my stats this morning I noted your IP address was in my top 5 and has been since February 2009. Is there something specific I can help you find or is there a question I can answer for you? Although I’m not too concerned, I am curious who your client is. KBR perhaps? Or one of their many law firms, maybe K&L Gates or McKenna Long & Aldridge?

I have to say…for a Private Investigating firm, they are not very “stealthy”!

I had to deny them access to Ms Sparky. I am fully aware that these “masters of the megabyte” will quickly find some new “stealthier” way to access my blog. Maybe from the free wi-fi at their local Starbucks! But in the meantime I am enjoying watching them trying to access and being DENIED! (I’m very easily entertained)

Because my blog is NOT about getting hits, I decided to just block Pathway Forensics. Then it occurred to me that since KBR has blocked me from my readers in the Middle East, it’s only fair I should block them in Houston and Alexandria, Virginia. I have also blocked Mckenna Long and Aldridge and K&L Gates, the law firms that are defending KBR in the death of SSG Ryan Maseth among other things.

I certainly hope the fees for this company are not being invoiced to the DoD. I think that would really piss me off to find out my tax dollars were paying to have “me” investigated.

On a final note. I do hope they have no intention of hacking my site or my computer. I do believe that is illegal….even in Texas.

Alright KBR. I have already told you that you were blocked. Now you are hacking!! Thank goodness for IP logs! :)

  2. Ken@Home says:

That’s hilarious. Pathetic and sad, really.

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
    Glad you are entertained!! LOL

I am here to tell you that KBR is afraid of you that’s why they blocked your site. They didn’t want LOGCAP knowing the truth about what is going on. Everything you are doing scares them. There is nothing legally they can do to shut you down, watch out for the illegal. And they are spending a significant amount of resources trying to manage you. Most of us find it humorous.

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
I appreciate that. But I doubt seriously that KBR is afraid of anything. There in lies the arrogance. We are just going to keep doing what we do and see what falls out.

You just made my day . . . it hurts to laugh today, but it was worth it!!!!!

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
    Glad I could help! :)

  5. Judy says:

Shit…can you imagine if they sued you!! Thats a bloggers dream come true! Talk about free publicity. Here’s the headline “KBR Sues To Muzzle Blogger”. The ACLU would be all over that. What a stomp on the 1st Amendment. One would be so lucky!

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
I agree. You could be on to something.

  6. DJ at Al Asad says:

Girl…we know how it is. It’s not hard to get to you. Just keep telling the truth and we will find you.

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
Be careful KBR is looking for any excuse to fire people. And be safe!

  7. Whoisit? says:

Those hits from Fluor are probably coming from former KBR managers… Might be interesting to find out who they are…
A lot of mgrs from KBR have jumped over to Fluor.

Good to know you blocked KBR from seeing what is posted. They can find out in discovery just before their trial(s).

Don’t be lulled, they will hack your site in due time. More than likely just to watch and keep track of info, but there are some pretty powerful programs out there to register everyone who addresses your site, so beware!

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
I am not going to spend a lot of time trying to block them. It’s more entertaining that anything. If they get any information off my site because they hacked it illegally, that would be good for me!!!!!!!

    HEHEHEHEH….Big Grin here!

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
    I’ve rather enjoyed it myself!

  9. Baboo Remembers says:

I think KBR PR Rep. Heather Brown must of visited your site at least 3999 times only to find she has been linked former Nazi Joseph Göbbels! Of course if she was displeased with her new found association…Stalin people are available as well

I think they are afraid of workers knowing what others are reporting and what they should also report that they may not have thought as suspicious before, monkey see monkey do and KBR in doo doo.

They are watching and preparing legal arguments. I did look at the Pathway Forensics. Poor website design but don’t let that fool you. It could be a trap to make people believe their amateurs.

This is one site that might explain some of their capabilities:

Hey mssparky being that KBR blocks your site from most in theater I use a website that acts as a shadow proxy. I would be happy to give it to you to put out to others having issues trying to read your blog. Just send me an email and I will reply with the site name and instructions to use it.

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
You rock!! Thanks for not posting it here publicly!

JJ647-Sorry I accidentally deleted your comment. So here it is.

“Ms Sparky-Do you still have people lurking excessively on your site? Like that one computer forensics company?”

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
Honestly, I am too busy to try and figure it out. I unblocked everyone because that wasn’t fun anymore. Busy busy busy!!
