Has anyone thought about pulling the fire department inspections? I know WSI was doing inspections on buildings just about every day when I was in Fallujah. They kept saying they were just reporting the same things over and over (mainly the piss-poor light ballasts). I know WSI (or WSLLC or whoever they are this month) were/are a 'strategic partner of KBR (as was LSI), but maybe they have paperwork KBR doesn't have access to?

Ms Sparky's Response:
Rumor has it that KBR's Fire Department is under investigation. Not sure for what. I'll let you know if I find out anything.

Electricians on base here have said they have been told to sign TI forms on buildings they did not inspect, they also said the buildings had non-compliant light fixtures and majr faults but the managers found some who would sign off on them and now Task Force SAFE are inspecting these buildings and finding them non-compliant when the TI said everything was fine a month ago.

Those who signed the TI forms should be arrested for falsification of documentation regarding to safety and welfare and Task Force SAFE needs to have the TI copies with them and ask why the buildings were declared as safe when they were obviousliy not.

Ms Sparky's Response:
That is a common complaint across Iraq. I blogged about it a while back. Can you email me some specifics info and I will forward it to the DCMA. Those people pencil whipping the inspections should be fired and fined.
