We would like to talk to surviving family members of KBR employees who died in Iraq, Afghanistan or Kuwait, either of hostile action or of natural causes.

We are looking for information about the process that KBR uses to transport the deceased back to the States and then to their final destination.

I don’t believe KBR is hiding anything here. This was more handled by military Medics beginning to end, not KBR. KBR is convenient middle and fall guy, but ultimately military had control here of initial first aid or rescue attempt at reviving and all subsequent follow up. Stringent safety protocol was indeed in place for placing of ground rods and such, if that was in progress at the time.

Task Force Safe is who I’ve referred to pushing contractors and Robert….called in to fix the political electric hype primarily caused by poor illegal military electric fixes. I’m not a KBR advocate at all; however, honesty prevalls me to say that most of the electric deaths and injuries were military caused. KBR is a good fall guy and it’s working. We must remember when a butterfly flaps its wings in one part of the world, there is an occurrence in another. The electric hype caused TF Safe from govt to “fix” it. Robert passed away trying to make them happy perhaps. We must be very careful of the winds we create.

    To Robs Family,
I worked with Rob up to his death. I packed his room for the family, after he died, and was 1 of 4 people who carried his body and loaded him on the Blackhawk Helicopter.
He is highly missed here. He is a great guy and a really good friend.
I sent Susie an email yesterday. I hope she gets it. It has more details in.
I found this website yesterday, and never knew it was here. Wish I did, would have responded sooner. I am emailing some of Robs friends as well, that worked and still work here at Falcon. I am sure they will add to this site, as well as give you some more insite on the day of his death.
Peggy, please get with Susie in regards to my email. I sent it to the one above: susiej4040@yahoo.com
if she didnt get it, let me know please.

    Ms Sparky’s Response:
Thank you for coming forward to help this family.

Billeting Dept were only ones who could have packed the room or Human Resources. Normally, KBR would not have been involved in putting any body on a copter, but perhaps it was a courtesy by military to allow and ploy to involve the company too. Anyway, I knew Rob as well and he sure was a good soul. We should be careful though in speculating as only the soldiers who were with him know what actually happened. respectfully sent………………..

Closure must be addressed, I think, with the young soldiers who lived in the trailer adjacent to where Robert was working. Surely they are mentioned in the military Medic report, since I believe they were the only ones to witness and transported him to military Medic directly. I would push for their contact and also camp military commander at the time. regards and much care………………..

I am glad to see something is being done to get to the bottom of this, there is no excuse why it should take so long to have a cause of death. Rob was a fine young man from what I knew of him and deserves a fair shake. I sincerley hope you can get some answers and a damn shame if you have to sue to get them. I am very sorry for the family’s loss and wish only the best for you all.

I believe the impetus shuld be to inquire from military….only witnesses. They were involved start to finish in attempts to save him and not KBR. KBR personnel do not know what happened. I truly believe this.

I love ur Caesar quote, but take offense to the KBR slight. I truly believe the truth can only be obtained from military. They were with him at the time, not KBR. I belive he was working alone. KBR is convenient fall guy, but in this case, to truly not spin wheels and get truth, military must be made to speak up and soldiers found who were only witnesses.

      Sent with respect…..

I have a couple pictures of a project we worked together on that he is in if you would like to see them. He will be missed. He is a hard worker and a pleasure to be around. God Bless.

Robert was a very nice man, that was obvious, and I didn’t know him well. He was under enormous stress and pressure to complete direct hired government Quality Control contractor team (govt contractors who directed KBR) (directly for DCMA) requirements and acting Project Facilities Coordinator at this time. So many variables fell into place at this time. Electric Foreman was on vacation and there was an Acting Electric Foreman. They were like dieties at the time …the govt QC team…and what they dictated was the law, even though oftentimes KBR subject matter experts, like Robert, knew better what to do. This was at height of the “electric hype” and rediculous political effort to perfect everything including putting grounding rods at every trailer and building, a monumental task. Robert was heading this up and also General Labor Foreman over all Labor Foremen. He was pushed by the government team to perform with unrealistic deadlines. So sad and rediculous…. He was so good and hard working that he continued when the prudent thing to do would have been to say “This is unsafe and I can’t or won’t do it.” He was a victim of the political electric hype .. most of which is untrue and stupid. So sad……….but typical of government projects. They rarely make sense and safety must be number one at all times. I do know that he resides in Heaven. He had a good soul. Only the soldiers who were with him know what heppened for sure. The rest is all speculation. A young soldier leaving the camp did say to me at Falcon that he was electrocuted. This was his take and what he had heard. Only the soldiers who were actually with him know for sure. They lived in the trailer where he was working. In fairness, I will say that KBR had stringent safety rules in place for such, however, military did not follow any. This is how it is. God Bless….
