I am really liking Rachel Maddow from MSNBC!! Great job on two short reports…watch them then check out my comments! If you are having problems viewing the video on Ms Sparky click HERE. Enjoy.

Comment on first report – Anything but debarring KBR from Government contracts is a slap in the face to the families of the soldiers they have killed from electrocution, exposed the deadly chemicals, bad water and so on. Not to mention what they have done to their own employees and the slaves that have been brought in from third world countries.
Comment on second report – They must have recently change convoy security, because we weren’t even allowed to tell anyone when the convoys were scheduled to move. And….if this guy had been in a Blackhawk helicopter with me and started “Tweeting” our location…….some Iraqi would have thought that Allah made it rain Blackberry’s and damn if his didn’t have a US Congressman attached to it!! I may have to start a “Dumb Ass” category!!

On the second half of this report, seems someone almost made the Darwin Report…
Intelligent?
Yeah I think not, for all of the crap we in a general sense got for talking about something we should not have on a hand held radio and they are broadcasting it from a BLACKBERRY phone and TWITTER???? That is unbelievable and the service to all cell phones in Iraq should be MUTED to say the least.
This goes back to basic OPERATIONAL SECURITY!!!!
Gosh darn it if we don’t have some SMRT (in the words of Homer Simpson) on our political side of life!
APPALLED!!!!
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Yeah…I feel much safer now knowing he is in charge in DC.
And they took our cell phones away from us??? It royally pissed me off that there were 2 sets of rules; 1 for the Military and 1 for KBR grunts. Granted, KBR’s ban on cell phones was internal. I traveled into Iraq with mine and even took it to Al Asad. I actually had service everywhere but Al Asad. I only used my cell when traveling in and out of country on R&R. I, of course, has enough sense not to say or send any information regarding movements (although I seriously doubt Hajji was monitoring our comms).
