Did you know that bobbing for apples began as a party game in the 20th Century. Bobbing for apples is a fertility rite, or a marriage divination and dates back to the Celtics. Unmarried people would try to bite into an apple floating in water or hanging from a string. The first person to bite into the apple would be the next one to marry. (I'll never eat another apple)
