Did you know that Jack O’Lanterns were originally made from TURNIPS!! jack O’Lanterns were put out to frighten away evil spirits. When pumpkins were discovered, they were found to be much easier to carve, thus the transition.

Did you know that bobbing for apples began as a party game in the 20th Century. Bobbing for apples is a fertility rite, or a marriage divination and dates back to the Celtics. Unmarried people would try to bite into an apple floating in water or hanging from a string. The first person to bite into the apple would be the next one to marry. (I’ll never eat another apple)
