KBR’s Tom Bruni & Joe Tedesco? What A Team
UPDATED!!! SEE BELOW!! Can it be?? Has KBR hired the electrical code expertise of Joe Tedesco? The Joe Tedesco?? “Joe Almighty?” KBR must think they are in real hot water because according to Joe, he didn’t come cheap.
Joe Tedesco has been one of those names in the electrical industry that has been around since I was an apprentice ….DON’T GO THERE!! Anyways, I had always been in awe of “Joe Tedesco the God of Electrical Code”. When he contacted me a while back I was just all starstruck. The mighty Joe Tedesco had honored “little ole me” by gracing my blog with his mere presence. By commenting on my posts. The comments are still there! You know how it is …when you shake hands with someone really important you think “I will NEVER wash my hand!!” Well, I thought…”I will never delete those comments!”
He told me he wanted to work in Iraq. He said he was doing a lot of Corp of Engineer training and wanted “hands on” experience. He asked about working for KBR. Naturally, I went right into my anti-KBR speal…KBR Bad!!! KBR Bad!!! I gave him DETAILS about how bad KBR was to work for. We were talking on a daily basis. He even called from a class in Virginia and put me on speakerphone to talk to his Corp of Engineer students who were deploying to Iraq. He even sent me pics…
Then I got an email about Task Force Safe and how they were hiring master electricians to be inspectors. They would be inspecting all of the DoD buildings. Most of which are maintained by KBR. I emailed Joe and said..”Send your resume here…NOW!!” He sent his resume to Stanley Consultants. He called me a day or so later and said he had been hired, $300,000 plus a year. We started going over all the stuff he was going to need and the stuff he wouldn’t need. Chit chatting…blah blah blah.
Then he started asking me about “living” at Camp Victory. Hmmm. I knew that working for Stanley (SBH), he would probably be moving around a lot. I thought, well…maybe SBH was going to use him in another capacity, so I answered his questions.
When I hadn’t heard from him in a couple of days, I decided to give him a call. That’s when he dropped the bombshell! “I’m going to work for KBR”. “Oh My Freakin’ God” just stab me in the freakin’ heart. I couldn’t freakin’ believe it. I said “You’ve got to be shittin’ me!” I was dumb founded. It’s like when Aniken Skywalker crossed over to the dark side and became Darth Vader and Tom Bruni was the Evil Emperer. I kind of felt like this was some kind of KBR intervention reality show and I was looking around for the cameras!!
He said…and I quote “KBR offered me DOUBLE what Stanley offered!” OK-Let’s do the math. Stanley offered $300,00 plus. So that means…KBR offered $600,000 plus? Plus he said he got his own room and own office next to Tom Bruni.
So….instead of working for SBH and performing an admirable service for our soldiers and civilians. Joe Tedesco chose to work for KBR. Chose to defend KBR. Chose to protect KBR. I’ll pass that on to Cheryl Harris, the mother of Staff SGT Ryan Maseth or Larrainne McGee the mother of Staff SGT Christopher Everett.
Once I denounced him publicly, he started harassing me by calling my house. He told my husband…in a nutshell…he needed to get control of me. That I needed to “back off”. My husband just started laughing his ass off. He has called many other people in the middle of the night to tell them to “back off”.
So, I think Joe Tedesco is a perfect fit for KBR. I have one question for Tom Bruni. If Joe calls and harasses someone while under the employ of KBR/OAS… does that make KBR/OAS responsible?? Just curious.
I’m just thoroughly disturbed that my childhood electrical hero is so superficial and ______(you fill in the blank). And if you don’t believe me…check out these threads.. and these are just the ones that haven’t been closed.
UPDATE: 10-15-08 JOE TEDESCO HAS HAD HIS MEMBERSHIP IN INTERNACHI REVOKED! I can only assume it is for the vile, vulgar, disgusting, childish participation on the Forum. And the alleged stalking and harrassing of other InterNACHI members that are planning on filing suit. Every day he shows just how well he will fit in with KBR executives.

Maybe Joe will straighten out KBR? You never know. He’s a loose cannon, you might say, and wouldn’t be afraid to tell KBR how it is if something’s not right. I feel sure. Someone told me that he was some sort of body builder in the 1950′s. Ever heard that one?

There’s a bunch of us that weren’t afraid to tell KBR when things weren’t right. If they had just listened to their employees, we wouldn’t even be having this conversation. Joe’s not going there to straighten them out. He’s going there to save KBR money on pending and upcoming lawsuits and make them money by trying to claim a new work order needed to make the corrections. New work order means more $$.
As far as the bodybuilder thing…I never heard that. He sure has the personality profile for it.

Mr. Tedesco constantly harrassed people by phone, called their work to harass anyone he can and trust me he is no Electrical GOD….in fact, he thinks he is one which leads other to incorrectly think he is. Anyway, read some of the posts online or do your own search and don’t buy into the hype of a “has been” that is selling out .
Maybe some people should ask WHY he actually left American Trainco, came back for 6 months and well is leaving yet again….he hops around quite a bit…..but again he is no more knowledgeable than any other NEC Consultant but in his mind….his complex reigns supreme.

I can’t really comment on the Mr. Tedesco thing yet, because I always liked Mr. Mike Holt more. But I can formulate a thought or two about KBR hiring him and especially if it is at one of their ‘created job position outrageous salaries’. KBR can not be up to no good. I am waiting for the Heather Brown statement of “no comment at this time”. . .

Tedesco-After knowing that KBR is responsible for the deaths of soldiers because they wouldn’t let their electricians do a good job. Because they wouldn’t give them tools and material. then you go to work for them to protect them. That’s Bullshit!!.

Having worked for KBR in Kandahar nothing can shock me. Concrete workers whose only experience was having walked on a sidewalk, carpenters that could not drive a nail, electicians made foremen to get them out of the way, food servers that could not speak english (really buged the troops) & HR people that wouldn’t be hired by a mental midget.
So, why is any revelation a big suprise.

I have just read the comments posted on the miscellaneous section by Paul Abernathy.
What a sad, sad individual! His rantings and ravings are a pitiful thing to see. Many people have said that he is very unprofessional. When people make comments like that it usually goes in one ear and out the other and I do not pay attention to disparaging remarks.
•I always consider the source, and I always keep in mind that “someone” might be trying to influence my opinion.
In this case Mr. Abernathy has chosen to put on a “public display” and prove many, many people correct in their assumption of him!
It is clear that Mr. Abernathy has somehow gained access to some “preliminary deliberations” and has become hysterical over the items in discussion.
What he does not know is that the private deliberations and “Fact Finding” process of the ESOP is long and time consuming.
Information is sent in, processed, and then asked for further clarification.
It is then “voted on” or disregarded. From what little information he has, He seems to feel that we have come to a permanent conclusion.
•All of us on the ESOP committee know that he is 100% incorrect in his assumption!
•I ask that each and everyone of you refrain from engaging him on the message board.
•It will do us no good to sink down to his level!
We all remember how Roy Cooke and Ray Wand baited and taunted several members of the ESOP committee until they openly responded on the message board.
This should never happen again!
If Mr. Abernathy as any “facts” that he wants us to consider , or “Facts” that he wants to dispute…. he certainly has the means, and the computer skills to send us/the ESOP committee an e-mail with any information that you would like us to consider!
None of us have a “closed mind” on this subject and I for one and more than willing to listen to anything that Mr. Abernathy has to say.
Accusations, rantings, ravings, and hysteria I can do without!
If Mr. Abernathy has “facts” that he wants to use to dispute anything then….
•I am more than willing to listen.
Once again, just because he is being unprofessional on the message board and highly emotional does not mean that we have to participate in the hysteria!

I see nothing and I am NOT HAPPY with Paul’s post regardng the conduct of this group.
If anyone bothered to read any thread between these two, you would KNOW that I told Tedesco to remove the offending posts. This should have been SUFFICIENT that the post in fact existed.
As to the past being the past, it does not work this way. It was an invalid argument when some were arguing to throw Ray and Roy out, and it wont fly now.
The past, in this case, were egregious comments that cost Tedesco his membership in the past.
When a convicted bank robber serves his time, is released, and commits the same crime, his past has a negative impact on his defense and sentence.

I think that NACHI is a small time trouble making wannabee home inspector site and system run my 3 people, one who is known as the “bulldog”, one who is the child prodigy and IT webmaster who likes lots of greenies and has problems, and the other one who uses a PO BOX for his main office address, rides in a Corvette and is the real problem with NACHI, yes I agree stay far away from that place, they are vulgar and terrible people, and they are jealous of ASHI too!

I would really like to know how anyone allows him to put his copyright-protected PV verbiage (directly from their software package narrative section intros) in the SOP.
Picture a competitor wanting to create a CalNACHI version of their reporting software, and wanting to include the CalNACHI SOP. Does Dr. Swift now charge his competition for use of said language, which he, in fact, owns. Who has he granted the pertpetual right to use his language, free of charge?
For that matter, is it available for use by anyone for free, if said inspector wants to include this language in his/her report. Can the PV language be inserted into HomeGauge, or ReportHost, or InspectExpress?
These are real questions. Keith is also full of crap, as I watched him looking at the thread, and not responding to the fiduciary issue last evening. He deleted it this morning. So much for viewing an “old” version of the COE. If the verbiage was changed a while back, why didnt he say so last night, while a live conversation was taking place?
He says the SOP and COE were being developed for some time, but the SOP is what he threw out for NACHI months back.

IBEWJOHN – Sounds to me like you really don’t have a clue about NACHI at all. Seems like they help alot of home inspectors who in turn help provide alot of income for electrical contractors. As for ASHI, They dont have nearly as many members as NACHI and again they are both technically equal in standards.

Most of the senior inspectors have left Nachi and its all newbies who believe anything they are told because their so green. Like Lemmings over the cliff.
Besides its a money machine for Nick via the vendors, even though he tell’s ya he doesn’t make/take one red cent. But seeing as no one is privy to the books who knows eh?

I don’t know all the key players, but it does appear they have a different professional ethic than me. If the way they run their forum is any indication. If I were to choose an inspector, belonging to iNACHI would have no bearing.

Interesting. Lets guess that Knock Nachi probably knows nothing about Home Inspections and is probably not a member of ANY association so his/her comments are fiction unless they provide otherwise.

There seem to be a growing number of people who have a problem with iNACHI. I think they bring it on themselves. It’s just like KBR. It’s not the normal everyday people that are the problem. It’s the few at the top that screw things up for everyone.

The growing number members re disenfranchised with Nachi because of the manner its run and controlled by a single person.
Look what happen to Jim Bushart long time defender of the Nachi faith, long time mouth piece for Nick, long time pontificate of the ethics committee, long time enforcer on behalf of that bull dog Joe Farsetta, supporter of all supposed good things of Nachi. Now we hear that JB has had enough of Nick, Nachi and Joe Farsetta and the vendors and has stated unequivocally he will not renew with Nachi and has put his tail between his legs and joined ASHI! That in itself is all telling, and he is not the only one!
Besides Nachi is infamous for charging some members full price for membership while giving out membership for free to others! Equality has never been a watchword for Nick!
As for Well Informed he must be another plant here trying to defend whats left of Nachi.

And you don’t think the drastic spike in oil prices had nothing to do with greed and capitalism which was driven by speculators? Or the housing crisis was not driven by speculators and poor regulation? That in turn had a domino effect on many sectors of the economy. Just look at the number of investment firms and banks that have collapsed and look at the rich pensions and stock options and salaries being paid to those in the banking and investment sectors. Yup okay its not capitalism.
