Someone sent me a link to this site called JobVent.com where you can rate any company you’ve worked for. It has several topics and a rating range of -5 to +5 for each topic. Then they ask you to briefly explain. It’s a real quick signup. You can read the reviews of other people and comment on them. As of the writing of this post, KBR is on the “I Love My Job” list. That’s just nauseating!
Click HERE to rate Kellogg Brown and Root.
Click HERE to rate any company on the list.
Click HERE to rate any company not on the list.
I’m off to rate some other companies!! I hear you! It’s not all bad. Actually I’ve worked for some awesome companies!
Let me know what you think of JobVent.com.

What the heck is KBR trying to pull. They put out an adv. for Electricians for 200,000+ but when you start signing up they tell you 122,000?
Ms Sparky’s Response:
It’s called “bait & switch”. They get you interested at the higher wage and then when you have your hopes up and are all excited about going, the spring the lower wage on you. You would be amazed at the number of people that still go..
Loved some of the positive comments . . guess you can tell who was a kiss a__ and who wasn’t.
Yeah, you can tell that some people knew the right people. Ignorance truly must be bliss, if you are that blind to not notice some of the improprieties that occured, some of which I cant even talk about because of that stupid contract and that OPSEC THING!!!
Must be nice to be that blind.
I agree with the ex-soldier’s comments, that is what I saw almost exactly, so two people who agree on what went on … hhhhmmmm I would say those two strangers are fairly accurate.
I love being threatened daily about my job. I love being a female and certain things were expected… hhhhmmm…. NOT ME Sorry aint gonna happen.
I love the ‘dignity and respect’ I received when I was there.
I love working 12+ hours a day and being tired all the time, and when you are 5 minutes late you get your @$& chewed out, and your coworkers are eating in the dfac on their shift already… hhhmm
just random things to think of.
I have much respect for anyone who can go over there and put up with the political BS and the kiss @$&ing. Truly I do.
I have much more respect for every memeber of our military services putting their butts on the line for my freedom, remeber that is a EARNED RIGHT NOT A GIVEN!!!
BUT
I have the most respect for the people who can oopen their eyes and see the BS put out on the plate in front of them.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Nice comment. Not really much I can add to that!
I was “flabbergasted” that KBR could score so high on the positive side at the JobVent website. It has to be the FN’s giving them this high score. I met only two ex-Pats that stated to my face that they “loved KBR”. Both of them were gone before my first year was completed. Forced Demob’s I believed. . .love KBR. . .hmmmm. . .
Ms Sparky’s Response:
There’s two now. There’s the Kellogg Brown and Root one and then some started a KBR/SEII one. Why didn’t I think of that? You can leave a “company review” for both of them now!!
I worked in Kuwait for 10 months with KBR.
I had to endure a lot at first working in a shop.
I am a mechanic.
The problems I had was with my boss though who could’nt handle the pressure of being foreman and just did’nt understand me.He did’nt last and
I got over it though and got a better position as a foreman at the airfield.
I loved that job it was great.
I screwed it up with an opsec violation.
I am looking forward to going back when I am able to get past some things I have going on at home.
I will admit that the schedual is hard but over all I do’nt regreat going and I certainly do’nt regreat making the money I did.
I am going to look into other companies but realy I think it is what you make of it and at least some of you are just whinny babies.
If you hate the position you have you can apply for others and there are better ones to be had always.
Ms Sparky’s Response:
“Whinny babies” first of all…you misspelled whiny…among other things. OPSEC violation?? Hmmm I’m sure KBR will take you back. They’ll probably just ship you off to another site.
Did you go through the chain of command?
if you feel you are having a problem with the supervisor
go see the site manager he can intervene, if there is a problem
that is what i did.
your site manager has to agree to release you into the position
We were told on anaconda the only way to a new job is to quit
and come back lateral transfers do not happen from the GSM Anaconda.
Forced DEMOBED you say interesting something i was not aware of hmm
Ms Sparky’s Response:
Hmmm You’ve never heard of “If you don’t like go home” or “Window or aisle, pasta or chicken” or “We no longer require your services”. Then I have to say, you can’t possibly work for KBR!
