Test Anxiety

Today we went to a HS Graduation BBQ for my niece Jessica….CONGRATS Jessie we are very proud of you!!! It was a great family get together and we had a great time visiting and catching up. I have to admit I was a little concerned about how Keelen would behave, especially after our little shoplifting incident yesterday. But I must say he was amazing. He was so well behaved. He didn’t argue, had great manners, was polite. I got so many compliments about him. I was very proud, just beaming.

This was such an amazing contrast to the miserable day we had yesterday. Maybe this is God’s way of saying….”Hang in there, yesterday was just a test and today is your reward for passing it. But, don’t get too cocky because there will be lots more tests to come!!”

Enjoy the moment.

Deb, I have only seen Keelen a couple of times, but I thought he was a gentleman yesterday and it cracked me up when he wanted to shake Bayleigh’s hand even tho she’s only 6 weeks old.
I think you have every right to be very proud of him.

Keelen has always been a very good kid when he is here at the farm. You are doing a very good job with him.
When he stayed with me a few years back he tested the waters but found out quickly that he had rules to follow and from then on he tried so hard to please us. I know he has a good heart.
You are doing a great job Grandma. Hang in there and you will reep the rewards…..

It sounds like Keelen is a good kid who is just testing a lot of boundaries as I hear kids do…seems to me you are doing a great job and I am sure he will appreciate it all when he is older.

  4. Aw thanks Aunt Debbie. Yes he was a gentleman except for a few things… But he was great to have around. Oh his art! haha. I would have to say that’s the best art i’ve ever seen!!!
Thank you Aunt Debbie! It was awesome to see you 2 there.
